HOW YOU CAN HELP

YOU CAN HELP THE CAUSE OF IMMIGRATION REFORM IN FOUR WAYS:

1.  DONATE

The Centre for Immigration Policy Reform/Centre pour une Réforme des Politiques d’Immigration is engaged in outreach to political institutions and organizations as well as to the general public. The costs involved include organizational overheads and communication expenses. Funding is also needed to support independent research and analysis.

While contributions from various sources on a no-strings-attached basis are welcome, the Centre is primarily dependent for its existence on the support of individuals.

Since the Centre is an advocacy organization, the receipts it issues for contributions do not qualify as charitable donations for income tax purposes. A copy of our business plan is available to corporate donors and major individual donors on request.

Your donation is most welcome either by credit card via PayPal (click on the donate button)

OR by making your cheque out to Centre for Immigration Policy Reform and mailing it to:

NEPEAN, ON

2.  WRITE A LETTER

You can also help the cause of immigration reform by writing, on particular issues to
  • your Member of Parliament
  • the CBC (both radio and television)
  • your local and national papers

It is particularly important to do this whenever you detect any bias in media reporting or, indeed, among Parliamentarians themselves.

Bear in mind that politicians extrapolate from the receipt of one letter the fact that many more people are also concerned about the same issue. Your letter is important.

While the federal government is responsible for immigration policy, increasingly, the provinces are playing roles. Where this is the case, it may also be useful to convey your views to your provincial representatives. Call-in shows are also a good way to make your voice heard.
